The Shops at the Stone Mill is a highly curated, engaging environment in downtown Middlebury, Vermont. Since opening in October, 2019, the market has become a daily destination for residents and visitors, offering a place to gather, shop, enjoy a coffee and purchase items ranging from wine and cheese, kitchen and home, to cards and gifts. The Market provides small businesses the opportunity to participate in the greater Middlebury retail market without the daily burden of managing labor and point of sale needs.
Outdoor seating is available weather permitting. The building is ADA accessible.

Dedalus Wine and Cheese
Dedalus started as a little backroom wine shop with a dozen or so selections. Just the stuff they wanted to drink but couldn’t find anywhere else. Over the years, the Burlington based company grew to become one of the best indie wine shops in the US with additional locations in Stowe, VT and Boulder, CO. Now, we are lucky to have them in Middlebury! With accessible wines at affordable prices, alongside cheeses and accompanying provisions, Dedalus Wine brings expertise and fun to The Stone Mill Public Market.

Addison West
Addison West is a destination with a singular purpose: connecting people with the spaces and things they love. After a 20+ year career as a tech marketing executive, Mo Bonner decided it was finally time to pursue a life-long dream. She launched Addison West on her 50th birthday. In the process of honing her style, she learned she cares most about helping people find joy and comfort in their spaces and the beloved things within them. A visit to Addison West is a joy for all senses. Here you will discover your next favorite linen, candle, gift, and so much more!
In addition to their space in The Shops at The Stone Mill, Addison West has a large retail store and design center in Waitsfield, Vermont.
The Stone Mill Collection
A curated collection of the founders' favorites, here you will find things that Stacey Rainey and Mary Cullinane like to eat... help them think... and encourage celebration. From candy to cards, seeds to vases, bags to candles, each item has a story and they are excited to share! Also within the collection is a highlighted area demonstrating the entrepreneurial spirit of Middlebury College. With products brought to market by current and former students we honor the history of the Old Stone Mill.
Interested in Hosting Your Next Party at The Stone Mill?
Weather permitting, we offer outdoor rentals of our large deck, which can accommodate up to 80 people. Our smaller outdoor terrace is also available for rental. This space provides a more intimate setting, overlooking Otter Creek and can accommodate up to 20 people.
